Centralised Electronic Diary

Allows several staff to take or check bookings at once. Fast, easy to use screens for regular staff, together with optional guided scripts for contact centre staff, give customers more ways to contact you. The system will automatically calculate the correct payment, using your charging rules and even take the payment for you, saving valuable staff time.

Management Information

A full audit trail ensures you can see who made or changed a booking. The system manages rounds according to the same rules you normally use and prints collection lists for the drivers. Management reports allow you to examine service usage patterns helping you to optimise your service.

Optional guided web service for customers

Optionally customers can schedule, book and pay for their collections using a 24x7 self-service booking facility via your website. Self-service bookings fit your business rules and can optionally be provisional. This gives your customers a modern, easy 24x7 facility, which meets e-government and Gershon targets.

Please note: we have illustrated one way of categorising items, but every council is different and the system can be configured to match your own categories and charging rules.

How can the system be extended?

If you have outsourced your collections then you can allow password protected access to the system to your contractor's staff via the internet. The system gives you reports so that you can see what collections have actually been made, and check this against the contractor's invoice to ensure that you are paying the right amount.
