Centralised Electronic Diary Allows authorised staff to view registrar's diaries and make, move or cancel bookings from any computer screen. The system will not permit double bookings, automatically produces appointment confirmations, and it will allow staff to search for any booking quickly and easily.
Management Information Any authorised staff can print and view the diaries. Activity reports enable you to analyse and optimise your service. General Register Office statistics prepared automatically saving you work.
Optional Guided web service for customers Option to allow customers to check availability of appointments and/or book their own appointments self-service over the web, within the confines of the business rules. This gives your customers a convenient, modern, easy to use 24/7 appointment facility, which meets e-government and Gershon targets.
What else do I need to know?
Very user-friendly for both staff and citizens to complete the bookings.
Simple to set up and easy to manage plus Toplevel have an excellent customer service reputation.
Good customisation ability which means that it can be tailored to meet your own requirements, e.g. to offer provisional bookings, different opening times for each office, and individual availability for each registrar.
How can the system be extended? Any authorised staff can print and view the diaries. Activity reports enable you to analyse and optimise your service. General Register Office statistics can be prepared automatically, saving you work. The system can be extended to allow selective access to the system to other groups of users. For example, staff in your own contact centre might be allowed to make some bookings on your behalf, freeing you up to deal with customers. Likewise hospital staff, funeral directors and staff in neighbouring registration services could be given a degree of access to the system, reducing the volume of phone calls your staff have to deal with.
Finally, BookingOffice is a generic system so it can be configured to allow departments in the council to have their own areas for many types of bookings e.g. officer appointments, rooms & venues, sports, events, courses and bulky waste.

“We chose Toplevel BookingOffice for this project for several reasons. We were impressed by the professionalism of Toplevel's approach. We liked the capabilities of the BookingOffice software, which is one of the few systems out there that will meet with our requirements. And, with BookingOffice already being used by registration units in several other councils, we could leverage the expertise and development Toplevel had built up.”
